Queso
Corn masa filled with white cheese that melts on the comal — the classic first bite.
Houston · 77038 · Salvadoran pupusería
We hand-press the masa and grill each pupusa on the comal, like in El Salvador — queso, revueltas, frijol, chicharrón and loroco, with curtido and house salsa.
From the comal to your table
Build your pupusa
Put together your order, then tap call — we will have it ready off the comal.
Antojitos
The house sides that make the order complete.
Lightly pickled cabbage with carrot and a splash of vinegar — fresh and crunchy, on every pupusa.
A light, seasoned tomato salsa to spoon over the pupusa — mild enough for everyone.
Beyond pupusas, ask about the Salvadoran antojitos and drinks we have that day.
Order by phone and pick them up, or enjoy them at the outdoor seating.
Made in house
How we make them
A good pupusa starts with fresh masa pressed by hand and finishes golden on the comal. That is how we make them — one at a time.
Press the masa and fill it by hand with queso, frijol, chicharrón or loroco.
Onto the comal until it browns evenly and the filling is hot through.
Serve it with fresh curtido and house salsa roja.
