FAQ

The most common questions before your session.

Does it hurt?
Honestly — a little. Pain varies by body part and your own tolerance. Rib and ankle pieces are typically the most intense; outer arm, calf, and thigh are usually the most comfortable. We pace the session and take breaks when you need them.
How do I prepare for my appointment?
Sleep well, hydrate, and eat a full meal beforehand. Wear comfortable clothing that gives easy access to the area we’re tattooing. Avoid alcohol the night before — it thins blood and increases sensitivity.
What is the deposit policy?
A non-refundable deposit is required to confirm your date. It goes toward the final price of the tattoo. The deposit holds your time and covers the design work.
Can I reschedule?
Yes — please give us at least 48 hours’ notice. Your deposit can be transferred to a new date one time. After that, a new deposit may be required.
What is the minimum age?
We tattoo adults 18 and over with valid government-issued ID. We do not tattoo minors, even with parental consent.
How long does a session take?
Small pieces can take 1–2 hours. Medium work runs 2–4 hours. Sleeves and large back pieces are spread across multiple sessions. We’ll give you an estimate after the design consult.
Do you do cover-ups?
Yes — many of our favorite pieces start as cover-ups. Send a clear photo of the existing tattoo when you book so we can advise on options.
Will you copy another artist’s design?
No. We use references for inspiration, but every piece we tattoo is custom-designed for you. It’s respect for the craft and respect for you.
