Refinery scope is high-consequence and high-classification. Most of the work is inside the fence of an operating unit. Permits, gas tests, classified-area methods, and a respect for the operations team's schedule are the price of admission.

Petrochemical units run continuous campaigns. The instrumentation has to be precise, the documentation tight, and the construction schedule aligned to the production schedule.

Midstream sites are smaller crews, more remote, and run by lean operations groups. The E&I scope has to be self-contained and the contractor has to be responsive.

Terminal scope is heavy on classified-area electrical and tank-side instrumentation. The truck rack, loading bay, and tank-side loops are where most of the work lives.
