What we rebuild

Every piece is stripped, rebuilt and re-covered — not just re-skinned.

From an everyday sofa to a carved antique, the work starts at the frame and ends with fabric you picked yourself.

Cut to fit

The family behind the shop

“We treat every piece like it’s going back into our own living room.”

McCollum’s is a family-run Houston workshop — Paul and Irene and a pair of hands that have re-sprung, re-padded and re-covered more furniture than they could count. There’s no assembly line here. Your piece is worked on personally, start to finish, and you talk to the people actually doing the work.

Yes. Restoration is a big part of what McCollum’s does — frames are repaired and joints reset so an older piece is sound again before it is re-covered, keeping the character of the original.
