About A Believers EMS

Founded on faith. Built on precision. Driven by every life we touch.

A Believers EMS was founded by a small group of Houston paramedics who believed the city's most vulnerable patients deserved an ambulance service that combined hospital-grade clinical standards with the warmth of a family-run business.

A decade and a half later, our crews respond to more than 4,500 transports per year — from rapid cardiac responses to multi-state long-distance journeys. The mission has not changed: arrive fast, treat the patient as our own, deliver them safely.

A Believers EMS treated my mother with such dignity during her transfer from MD Anderson. The crew was on time, communicated every step, and gave my family a calm we did not know we needed.

We use A Believers for our long-distance dialysis transports. Their dispatch team is the most organized in Houston — every transfer arrives at the scheduled minute.

After my husband's stroke we needed inter-state ground transport on three days notice. They mapped the route, planned rest stops with his needs, and called us at every checkpoint.

The paramedics arrived in under seven minutes during a cardiac event with my dad. They had him stabilized before the hospital even called back. I do not have words.

As a discharge coordinator I have worked with every Houston private service. A Believers is the only one I recommend without hesitation — clinical, compassionate, on time.

Bilingual crew. Patient-first. They explained every monitor reading to my abuela in Spanish during the entire 90-minute transfer. That is who they are.

Frequently asked

The questions our dispatch team hears most.

Are you available 24/7 for emergencies?

Yes. Our dispatch operates around the clock — 24 hours, 7 days a week, every day of the year. Calls are answered by a live dispatcher, never a voicemail tree, and a unit is moving within minutes of confirmation.

Do you accept Medicare, Medicaid and private insurance?

A Believers EMS is enrolled with Medicare, Texas Medicaid and most major private insurance plans. Our billing team handles direct claims and pre-authorizations for facility transfers so families never deal with paperwork mid-crisis.

What areas do you serve?

Our primary coverage is the Greater Houston metro — including Sugar Land, The Woodlands, Pasadena, Pearland, Katy, Cypress, Spring and Conroe. For long-distance transports we cover all of Texas, with two-crew rotations on inter-state journeys.

What is the difference between BLS and ALS transport?

BLS (Basic Life Support) is appropriate for patients who are medically stable and need transport with monitoring — for example, dialysis or discharge. ALS (Advanced Life Support) is for patients who require IV medications, cardiac monitoring or paramedic-level interventions. Our dispatch will recommend the right level when you call.

How quickly can you respond to a non-emergency request?

Most scheduled transports are confirmed within minutes and arrive at the appointed time. For same-day requests we typically dispatch within 30–60 minutes depending on traffic and zone. Emergency calls take priority on all fleet movement.

Can a family member ride along with the patient?

Yes — one family member is welcome to ride in the front passenger seat at no additional cost, subject to crew discretion based on clinical needs. We will always let you know during dispatch whether ride-along is appropriate for a given transport.

Need transport today?

One call. The whole crew responding.

Whether it's an emergency or a scheduled transport, our dispatch team is on the line 24/7. Tell us the situation — we'll bring the rest.
